What is sustainable agriculture?
One important resource is ¿Qué es la Agricultura Sostenible?. This guide explains the basic ideas of sustainable farming in simple language. It teaches that farming should protect soil, water and air while helping farmers earn a living. The guide also introduces topics like soil health, pest control and crop rotation. This is a great place for beginners to start learning.
Improving soil with cover crops
Another helpful resource is Cultivos de Cobertura para Rotaciones de Cultivos Sustentables. This guide explains how cover crops can improve soil health. Cover crops help stop erosion, add nutrients and keep the soil strong. The guide shows farmers how to use these crops as part of a planting plan, so their land stays healthy year after year.
