Stripe Rust Receding In Some Areas

On May 20, 2015, seven fields in the counties of Warner, Forty Mile and Cardston were surveyed for stripe rust. Both winter wheat fields surveyed in the county of Warner had trace incidence of stripe rust (less than one leaf per square metre). Neither of the fields in Forty Mile County had any signs of stripe rust and the remaining three fields in Cardston also had no signs of rust.

On May 13, 2015, six fields of winter wheat and five fields of young spring wheat were surveyed for stripe rust in M.D. of Willow Creek and the counties of Taber, Vulcan, the northern part of Lethbridge County. No signs of stripe rust were apparent in any of these locations.
