Three John Deere Cab Parts To Add To Your 2013 Holiday Wish List

With the holiday season right around the corner, now is the perfect time to think about ways to say thank you to those that produce crops while giving a gift that will surely make their holiday one to remember. The harvesting season is made up of a number of long days out on the field and inside the combine, which is why, in this post, we’ve highlighted three John Deere cab parts that harvesters need to add to their wish list this year, making their job easier and more productive.

Camera Observation System for S Series Combines

Operators of S Series combines can eliminate blind spots when harvesting by equipping their machine with the Voyager observation system even in low-light conditions. A large (7-inch) LCD display monitor delivers live, full-color video of designated blind spots and even includes a built-in speaker so the operator can hear live audio from the camera microphone on the outside of the machine.

Combine Observation System for 50, 60 and 70 Series Combines

There’s a reason why grain harvesting is referred to as a process. Many parts need to work in collaboration to yield successful results; this is where the Combine Observation System comes in as a perfect addition to the combine. The system comes standard with two color cameras for increased flexibility, providing the operator with a bird’s eye view of key harvesting functions while working across the field.

With this technology attached to the combine, operators will have better visibility of the grain tank and sample when unloading into tall grain carts or trucks that otherwise block visibility. The system should be mounted in one of three ways: On the unloading auger, on the rear panel of the combine, or on the grain bin extensions of the grain tank.

FieldVision Xenon HID Lighting

As most grain harvesters understand, there’s often times more grain to be harvested at peak times than there are hours of sunlight in the day. Deere’s FieldVision Xenon HID lighting is a perfect gift for harvesters looking to go the extra mile: extended harvesting hours into darkness. The HID lighting provides up to 200% more brightness while lasting more than 5 times longer than regular halogen bulbs, extending well-lit time spent in the field.
