United States Agricultural Equipment Market Share, Growth and Forecast Report, 2032

According to the latest market research study published by P&S Intelligence, the U.S. agricultural equipment market is set for robust growth, projected to rise from USD 39.4 billion in 2024 to USD 57.1 billion by 2032, progressing at a steady CAGR of 4.9% during 2025–2032. This growth reflects the increasing reliance of America's expansive agriculture sector—which spans over 900 million acres and employs around 2.6 million laborers—on modern machinery to address persistent labor shortages and efficiency challenges.

The ongoing shortage of seasonal farmworkers, coupled with the decline in overall agricultural labor, has intensified the need for automation. This shift is catalyzing demand for AI-driven technologies and autonomous farming solutions across farms of all sizes. Additionally, government-backed sustainability programs are pushing agribusinesses to adopt electric and hybrid-powered machinery to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, which currently account for 11% of the nation's total.

Key Insights

  • Tractors remain the dominant product category, accounting for 40% of the market in 2024, thanks to their versatile applications across all farming scales. Utility and row-crop tractors, in particular, are favored for their multifunctionality and advanced integration with GPS and automation technologies.
  • Precision agriculture equipment is the fastest-growing segment, driven by the surge in AI, IoT, and drone-based solutions that optimize crop health monitoring and resource usage.

Video: EP 73 Diversity is Resiliency – Stories of Regeneration Part 6

During the growing season of 2023 as summer turned into fall, the Rural Routes to Climate Solutions podcast and Regeneration Canada were on the final leg of the Stories of Regeneration tour. After covering most of the Prairies and most of central and eastern Canada in the summer, our months-long journey came to an end in Canada’s two most western provinces around harvest time.

This next phase of our journey brought us to Cawston, British Columbia, acclaimed as the Organic Farming Capital of Canada. At Snowy Mountain Farms, managed by Aaron Goddard and his family, you will find a 12-acre farm that boasts over 70 varieties of fruits such as cherries, apricots, peaches, plums, pears, apples, and quince. Aaron employs regenerative agriculture practices to cultivate and sustain living soils, which are essential for producing fruit that is not only delicious but also rich in nutrients.
