USDA Export Sales Report Release

Wheat:   Net sales of 1,308,800 MT for delivery in the 2013/2014 marketing year were reported for Brazil (393,300 MT, including 75,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 19,200 MT), unknown destinations (181,900 MT), the Philippines (132,300 MT, including 25,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 1,800 MT), Nigeria (121,900 MT), Japan (97,500 MT), South Korea (80,100 MT), and Mexico (66,200 MT).  Decreases were reported for Guatemala (11,700 MT), the Dominican Republic (4,400 MT), and Yemen (3,100 MT).  Exports of 1,621,800 MT were reported for China (409,700 MT), Brazil (381,900 MT), Japan (169,700 MT), the Philippines (106,700 MT), Nigeria (80,700 MT), and Mexico (64,500 MT).

Corn:  Net sales of 4,555,500 MT for 2013/2014 were reported for Mexico (1,689,400 MT, including 33,400 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 7,300 MT), Japan (862,700 MT, including 122,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 19,900 MT), China (777,600 MT, including 373,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 24,500 MT), unknown destinations (434,900 MT), and Colombia (242,400 MT, including 30,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 2,800 MT).  Decreases were reported for Panama (9,600 MT) and El Salvador (2,000 MT).  Net sales of 738,000 MT for the 2014/2015 marketing year were reported for Mexico (734,400 MT) and Nicaragua (3,600 MT).  Exports of 2,094,400 MT were primarily to Mexico (708,300 MT), China (677,900 MT), Japan (255,600 MT), Colombia (123,300 MT), and Saudi Arabia (68,200 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:   For 2013/2014, outstanding optional origin sales total 100,000 MT, all Mexico.

Daily Sales Not Announced:  Please note that for week ending October 17, 2013, corn sales for Mexico (1,568,800 MT) and unknown destinations (304,800 MT) for delivery during the 2013/2014 marketing year would have been reported as Daily Sales.   However, these sales were not announced by press release, but are included in this week’s report.

Barley:  Net sales of 10,600 MT were reported for Japan (9,900 MT), Taiwan (500 MT), and South Korea (200 MT).  Exports of 10,500 MT were primarily reported to Japan (9,900 MT) and South Korea (400 MT).

Sorghum:  Net sales of 289,400 MT were for China (190,200 MT, including 175,000 switched from unknown destinations), Japan (39,000 MT, including 3,100 MT switched from unknown destinations), South Africa (37,100 MT, switched from unknown destinations), unknown destinations (22,400 MT), and Mexico (800 MT).  Exports of 184,300 MT were to China (120,300 MT), South Africa (37,100 MT), Mexico (13,600 MT), and Japan (13,300 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2013/2014, outstanding optional origin sales total 60,000 MT, all China.

Daily Sales Not Announced:  Please note that for week ending October 17, 2013, sorghum sales for unknown destinations (150,000 MT) for delivery during the 2013/2014 marketing year would have been reported as Daily Sales.  However, these sales were not announced by press release, but are included in this week’s report.

Rice:  Net sales of 229,300 MT for 2013/2014 were reported for unknown destinations (40,900 MT), Iraq (40,000 MT), Mexico (25,600 MT), Japan (25,000 MT), and Saudi Arabia (19,600 MT).  Exports of 99,800 MT were primarily to Haiti (34,300 MT), Saudi Arabia (11,400 MT), Honduras (9,400 MT), Canada (8,700 MT), and Mexico (7,900 MT).

Soybeans:  Net sales of 4,742,000 MT for 2013/2014 were reported for China (2,112,300 MT, including 644,100 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 226,300 MT), unknown destinations (550,800 MT), Mexico (284,100 MT), Russia (270,600 MT), Indonesia (238,900 MT, including 91,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), and Taiwan (202,000 MT).  Exports of 5,123,200 MT were primarily to China (3,821,300 MT), Mexico (281,400 MT), Japan (146,900 MT), Spain (137,800 MT), and Indonesia (135,400 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:   For 2013/2014, outstanding optional origin sales total 121,000 MT, were for unknown destinations (66,000 MT) and China (55,000 MT).  Optional origin cancellations were reported for unknown destinations (60,000 MT).

Exports for Own Account:  For 2013/2014, the current exports for own account balance is 75,700 MT, all Canada.

Daily Sales Not Announced:  Please note that for week ending October 10 and October 17, 2013, soybean sales for unknown destinations (203,000 MT) and China (120,000 MT) for delivery during the 2013/2014 marketing year would have been reported as Daily Sales.  However, these sales were not announced by press release, but are included in this week’s report.

Soybean Cake and Meal:  Net sales of 805,200 MT for 2013/2014 were reported for Canada (127,500 MT), Spain (84,000 MT, including 60,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), unknown destinations (80,100 MT), and Vietnam (61,900 MT, including 45,000 MT switched from unknown destinations).  Decreases were reported for Norway (8,000 MT), Mozambique (4,900 MT), Panama (4,400 MT), and Nicaragua (2,300 MT).  Net sales reductions of 500 MT were reported for Canada.  Exports of 530,800 MT were primarily to Mexico (66,500 MT), Venezuela (64,000 MT), Spain (64,000 MT), and Canada (61,400 MT).

Soybean Oil:  Net sales of 14,500 MT for the 2013/2014 were reported for Mexico (6,100 MT), unknown destinations (4,400 MT), Canada (4,200 MT), and Jamaica (3,500 MT).   Decreases were reported for Norway (8,000 MT).  Exports of 22,800 MT were primarily for Mexico (15,100 MT) and Canada (7,500 MT).

Cotton:  Net Upland sales of 612,300 RB for 2013/2014 were reported for China (238,600 RB, including 900 RB switched from South Korea and decreases of 1,000 RB), Turkey (151,000 RB), Indonesia (51,600 RB, including 2,300 RB switched from China), Mexico (30,700 RB), and Vietnam (30,500 RB).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (100 RB).  Net sales of 13,300 RB for 2014/2015 were reported for Thailand (9,300 RB) and Turkey (4,000 RB).  Exports of 231,400 RB were to China (47,500 RB), Mexico (41,600 RB), Turkey (35,200 RB), Indonesia (18,300 RB), and Vietnam (18,200 RB).  Net American Pima sales of 78,600 RB for 2013/2014 were for China (67,400 RB, including 900 RB switched from Vietnam), India (6,100 RB), Indonesia (1,700 RB), and Japan (1,400 RB).  Decreases were reported for Vietnam (900 RB).  Exports of 18,900 RB were primarily to China (13,100 RB), Thailand (1,700 RB), and Japan (1,100 RB).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2013/2014, outstanding optional origin sales total 14,200 RB, and are for Thailand (9,300 RB), South Korea (4,600 RB), and Vietnam (300 RB).

Exports for Own Account:  For 2013/2014, the current exports for own account balance is 53,800 RB, and is for China (53,400 RB) and Vietnam (400 RB).

Hides and Skins:  Net sales of 1,311,300 pieces for 2013 were reported.  Whole cattle hide sales of 1,308,200 pieces were primarily for China (886,800 pieces, including 6,700 pieces switched from South Korea and decreases of 66,000 pieces), South Korea (281,600 pieces), Mexico (69,300 pieces), Thailand (24,400 pieces), and Italy (19,700 pieces).  Exports of 1,265,900 pieces were reported.  Whole cattle exports of 1,254,600 pieces were primarily to China (866,600 pieces), South Korea (203,200 pieces), Mexico (55,300 pieces), Taiwan (45,300 pieces), and Japan (22,600 pieces).

Net sales of 528,800 wet blues for 2013 were primarily for China (124,300 unsplit and 11,400 grain splits), Italy (110,700 unsplit and 9,600 grain splits), Thailand (101,400 unsplit), Mexico (47,300 grain splits and 18,100 unsplit), and South Korea (32,300 unsplit and 4,800 grain splits).  Exports of 487,600 hides were primarily to Italy (138,100 unsplit and 8,100 grain splits), China (82,500 unsplit and 15,400 grain splits), Thailand (84,500 unsplit), Mexico (55,900 grain splits and 10,700 unsplit), and Vietnam (32,900 unsplit).  Net sales of 5,900 wet blues for 2014 marketing year were reported for South Korea.  Net sales of splits totaling 658,300 pounds were for South Korea (293,100 pounds), Vietnam (226,200 pounds), Hong Kong (125,200 pounds), China (13,700 pounds), and Mexico (2,300 pounds).  Decreases were reported for Taiwan (2,100 pounds).  Exports of 1,778,800 pounds were to South Korea (989,800 pounds), Hong Kong (575,800 pounds), Vietnam (126,800 pounds), Italy (44,000 pounds), Taiwan (41,900 pounds), and Mexico (600 pounds).

Beef:  Net sales of 55,500 MT for 2013 were primarily for Mexico (15,000 MT), Hong Kong (13,300 MT), South Korea (8,900 MT), Japan (6,600 MT), and Canada (4,600 MT).  Net sales of 4,900 MT for 2014 were for Japan (3,800 MT), Mexico (600 MT), and Canada (400 MT).  Exports of 35,900 MT were primarily to Hong Kong (8,300 MT), Japan (7,700 MT), Mexico (5,800 MT), South Korea (5,000 MT), and Canada (5,000 MT).

Pork:  Net sales of 23,500 MT for 2013 were primarily for Mexico (7,700 MT), South Korea (3,200 MT), Japan (3,100 MT), Australia (3,000 MT), and Canada (1,900 MT).  Exports of 26,300 MT were primarily to Mexico (9,900 MT), Japan (3,700 MT), Canada (3,000 MT), Hong Kong (2,800 MT), and South Korea (2,000 MT).
