Iowa hog farmer Benjamin Shivers enlisted the help of some of his piglets to propose to his girlfriend Emily Geislter-Lingren in February 2018.
Emily entered the hog barn thinking she needed to help her niece with a school assignment.
Instead, she found a group of piglets that had the message “Emily, will you marry me?” written on their backs.
“I was kind of confused in the moment too because I wasn’t expecting that at all,” she told The Des Moines Register. “I started to cry and then turned around and Ben was down on one knee.”
