Three-year Deal Expands Sustainable Sourcing and Farmer Programs

CIBO Technologies has announced a three-year strategic partnership with Ingredion to promote regenerative agriculture across supply chains. This collaboration highlights the growing use of data and technology in improving sustainable farming practices.

Ingredion is already a leader in responsible sourcing, with most of its key crops sourced sustainably. However, due to the large scale of its operations, the company requires advanced digital tools to manage programs efficiently and track sustainability progress. CIBO’s platform provides these solutions through strong data analytics and reporting systems.

The partnership will focus on expanding farmer participation, especially in regions like Iowa and Illinois. CIBO’s Trusted Advisor Network will support farmers by helping them enroll in sustainability programs and guiding them in adopting better farming practices. This network includes retailers and agricultural experts who provide technical assistance.

"Through our sustainability programs, we are demonstrating how responsible sourcing can deliver long-term benefits for our growers, our partners and the planet," said Brian Nash, Vice President, Corporate Sustainability at Ingredion.

"With CIBO, we now have the infrastructure to truly scale responsible sourcing while engaging with more farmers. Their software platform collects data that enables us to demonstrate progress using global standards. More importantly, that data will help us support farmers and our customers in collectively building climate resilient supply chains," said Nash.

Another key benefit of this collaboration is improved data collection and reporting. CIBO uses technologies like computer vision and remote sensing to monitor farm practices. This helps the Ingredion measure sustainability performance accurately and meet global reporting standards.

Ingredion also aims to achieve 100% sustainable sourcing of its priority crops by 2030. Through this partnership, the company can track farm-level data and generate sustainability scores using consistent methods across all farms.

"As companies expand sustainable practices across their supply chains, they need high-integrity solutions that can scale with their program," said Sunand Menon, Executive Chairman and CEO of CIBO Technologies.

"With our proprietary modeling and AI, and advanced analytics, CIBO streamlines fragmented data and workflows and generates insights at scale—making it easier for Ingredion to monitor and confidently report on the progress made across its supply shed," said Menon.

According to company leaders, this collaboration will not only improve reporting but also support farmers and customers in building climate-resilient supply chains. The partnership demonstrates how combining agriculture with technology can lead to long-term environmental and economic benefits.
