The sibling employ a non-hierarchical management approach with shared decision-making

Jordan Lynch and Chansi Bourke have been named the regional winners of Saskatchewan’s Outstanding Young Farmers competition. The announcement was made during Canada’s Farm Show on March 19, 2026. The siblings will now represent Saskatchewan at the national competition in Vancouver, British Columbia, in November 2026.

The two are part of Lynch Farm Partnership, a fourth-generation family farm based in Osage, Saskatchewan. The farm spans about 12,000 acres and produces cereals, oilseeds, and lentils. The operation is jointly managed by Jordan and Dakota Lynch, Chansi and Patrick Bourke, and Keegan and Shelbi Lynch. The team follows a non-hierarchical management approach, focusing on shared decision-making and strong farm governance.

Their mission is to preserve their family legacy while promoting teamwork and innovation. The farm uses modern agricultural practices such as zero tillage and variable rate technology. These methods help improve productivity, maintain grain quality, and support sustainable farming. The family also values integrity, stewardship, and community contribution.

Jordan Lynch studied Ag Business at the University of Saskatchewan and gained international experience working on a farm in New Zealand. He returned home and became a partner in 2012. Chansi Bourke works as an agronomist and joined the partnership in 2018 with her husband Patrick. Their brother Keegan joined in 2023 after a career as a journeyman plumber.

The competition also recognized Beau and Cashe Stevenson of Hi-Lite Feedlot in Melfort as finalists. Leaders including Federal Agriculture Minister Heath MacDonald and MLA James Thorsteinson attended the event and shared their support.

“Celebrating the Lynch and Stevenson families at the Saskatchewan Outstanding Young Farmer event was exactly what our program stands for. Young farmers doing remarkable things, being innovative and striving for excellence, all while holding family close and contributing to the community,” said President Amy Cornin.

“It was an honour to be present, to see the fruits of hard work of the Sask OYF board in putting together an incredible event attracting alumni, sponsors, industry and farmers from throughout the province. Congratulations to the Lynch family. You will represent Saskatchewan well at nationals in Vancouver in November!” said Cornin.

The national competition will take place from November 26 to 29, 2026, where top young farmers from across Canada will compete for national recognition.
