Celebrating Agricultural Trade’s Role in Economic Growth

The National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA), along with over 20 state agriculture departments, celebrates National Agriculture Trade Day, recognizing the importance of agricultural trade.

This day highlights how trade strengthens state economies, supports farmers and ranchers, and expands market opportunities for U.S. agriculture.

"Today, we recognize the vital role of international trade in bolstering the American economy and expanding trade opportunities for local food producers," said NASDA CEO Ted McKinney.

"By connecting U.S. agriculture with new global marketplaces, we create long-term growth and greater opportunities for farmers and ranchers across the country."

As part of National Ag Week, this event raises awareness about the role of agricultural exports in economic stability.

In 2023, agriculture, food, and related industries contributed 5.5% to the US GDP and accounted for 10.4% of U.S. employment. Strengthening global market access ensures long-term profitability for farmers and food producers.

NASDA advocates for trade policies that enhance competitiveness and promote U.S. agricultural exports worldwide. Expanding international markets helps secure economic stability and supports rural communities.

Video: Increased Geo Political Tensions = SELL AMERICA TRADE + Argentina Dry

Higher geo-politics from Trump wanting to annex Greenlland to conflict with Iran has caused investors to sell everything America. With Matto Grosso Brazil 7% harvested weather has turned wet as harvest progresses but Argentina has turned dry! Both soybean and wheat futures have traded back above the pre-USDA January crop report close a positive technical chart signal. A monster weekly U.S. export report is price supportive but a kick the can down the road on E15 is very disappointing.
