The updated Speedrower lineup introduces smart harvesting features, including real-time yield monitoring and automated header adjustments for better field performance.
New Holland Agriculture is expanding its Speedrower 1 Series lineup of self-propelled windrowers for model year 2027, introducing four models designed to improve harvesting productivity, cutting precision, and operator convenience.
The updated equipment combines increased horsepower, advanced yield monitoring, redesigned header flotation, and integrated guidance technology to help farmers manage field operations more efficiently.
Jordan Milewski, North American Product Marketing Manager for the New Holland Speedrower 1 Series, discussed the new equipment with Farms.com.
The expanded lineup ranges from the SR 161 to the SR 301, with the top model delivering 285 rated engine horsepower and up to 308 peak horsepower.
According to Milewski, the SR 301 can be paired with the Durabine 413, a 13-foot cutting head, or the Durabine 419-disc header. These options are designed to increase cutting capacity and help operators cover more acres per hour.
One of the lineup's key additions is an integrated relative yield monitoring system, which New Holland describes as an industry first. The technology measures crop flow using header load and ground speed data as the machine cuts.
The information is then transferred to the company's FieldOps platform, allowing farmers to review field performance and identify differences in crop productivity.
Farmers can use the collected information to develop management zone maps and convert them into application maps for variable-rate fertilizer applications.
This approach can help producers adjust input use to field conditions, improve resource efficiency, and support farm profitability.
New Holland has also redesigned the header flotation system to simplify setup and improve consistency.
Operators can initiate a calibration process from inside the cab, allowing the machine to establish an initial flotation setting without requiring manual adjustments outside the equipment.
The system also includes an updated graphical user interface that enables operators to adjust header flotation as field conditions change.
For example, a feather-shaped control on the display allows operators to lighten the header in wet areas or when working in conditions where protecting crop stubble is important.
A reset function returns the system to its preset flotation setting once the machine moves into more suitable conditions.
The updated Speedrower 1 Series also features the IntelliView IV Plus display, which includes a 12.1-inch color touchscreen designed to improve visibility and ease of use. Raven RS1 auto guidance integration is another addition, supporting guidance across straight passes, curves, and pivot patterns.
With these updates, New Holland aims to combine greater cutting capacity with digital tools that help operators monitor field performance, adjust equipment settings, and improve day-to-day harvesting operations.
