Three-year Licensing Deal Brings Regenerative Fertilizer to Midwest Farms
Replenish Nutrients, a canadian company, has taken a major step toward expanding its regenerative agriculture technologies in the United States. The company has signed a three-year licensing agreement with Farmers Union Enterprises, an investment and agriculture advocacy group rooted in the Midwest.
The partnership allows Replenish to introduce its patented SuperKS pellet fertilizer across nearly 70 million acres of cropland located in Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.
Farmers Union Enterprises and its partners have long supported farmer-owned operations. Their majority ownership in Farmers Union Industries gives them deep connections within one of the largest continuous agricultural regions in North America. By joining with a respected farmer-led organization, Replenish strengthens its presence and credibility in the growing regenerative-farming movement.
"This partnership marks a major milestone for Replenish as we expand into the U.S. market with a farmer-owned organization that shares our commitment to regenerative agriculture," said Neil Wiens, CEO of Replenish Nutrients. "FUI's history, farmer ownership, and vertically integrated operations make them an ideal partner to bring our SuperKS technology to scale. Together we are enabling farmers to improve yields, profitability, and soil health while reducing environmental impact.
"We're proud to partner with Replenish Nutrients to bring leading regenerative-fertilizer technology to the producers we serve," said Darin Von Ruden, Board Chairman, Farmers Union Enterprises. "This collaboration supports our long-standing mission to preserve the family farm and provide sustainable solutions for future generations."
Under the licensing deal, Farmers Union Enterprises will have exclusive rights to manufacture and distribute the SuperKS fertilizer across its five-state network. The agreement also includes options to expand into more regions and apply future Replenish technologies.
Production will take place at a renovated processing facility in Crookston, Minnesota. The plant will begin with a capacity of 50,000 metric tonnes per year and can scale up to 100,000 metric tonnes with continuous round-the-clock operations.
Replenish will supply raw materials and provide technical support, while Farmers Union Enterprises will manage facility operations, capital costs, and distribution. Sales are expected to begin in late summer or early fall of 2026.
Replenish anticipates earning between USD $40 and $60 per metric tonne in licensing revenue over the initial term, depending on final production and transportation costs.
This partnership offers Replenish a capital-light entry into the U.S. market. It gives the company a chance to grow revenue quickly without major new investments. The agreement also creates a model that can be expanded into other regions.
Company leaders say the collaboration supports shared goals of improving soil health, increasing farm profitability, and reducing environmental impacts. Farmers Union representatives add that the partnership aligns with their mission to support family farms and provide long-term sustainable solutions for future generations.
