Friday the 13th only comes around periodically but is enough to send some people into a frenzy.

Imagine what Valentine’s Day can do! Every February 14th there can be pressure to woo your significant other with displays of love and affection.

We here at Farms.com are here to help by providing a list of possible gifts and ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day on Sunday.

Farmgifts.us is a website containing clothing, phone cases, business cards and more in different farm themes including chicken, cow, tractor and pig.

Cupid

Does your significant other have a significant sweet tooth? Why not whip up a batch of cupcakes for him or her and place them in tractor-shaped molds.

For the men out there, if you’re thinking about popping the question to your girlfriend on Valentine’s Day, consider adding the book Would You Marry A Farmer? as part of the proceedings.

If she says yes, you could (very bravely) present her with another book, How To Be A Perfect Farm Wife.

If gift giving isn’t part of the equation but you still want to celebrate, there are many events going on throughout different communities. Here are a few:

In Canada

The Saskatoon Farmers Market will be hosting a Valentine’s dinner dance on Saturday, Feb 13. Tickets are $40 each or $60 per couple.

Hatfield Farm in Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia is also hosting a Valentine’s Day dinner on Saturday. For $39.99 per person visitors can enjoy a romantic atmosphere complete with a candle lit dinner.

In the United States

Heritage Prairie Farm in Elburn, Illinois is holding a Valentine’s Dinner on Saturday, Feb 13. The evening will include dinners prepared on the farm by the farm’s staff.

Phoenix, Arizona’s The Farm At South Mountain is hosting Valentine’s Day celebrations all weekend. On Sunday, visitors can enjoy a couple’s picnic complete with sandwiches, a cupcake and special gift from the farm.
