London Chamber honors innovation and community impact in agriculture

Western Fair District has been named the winner of the 2026 Business Achievement Award in Agribusiness by the London Chamber of Commerce. This award recognizes the organization’s strong efforts in supporting agriculture, innovation, and community development.

A key part of this success is The Grove, an agri-business hub that helps entrepreneurs turn ideas into real businesses. It provides support, resources, and guidance to help new businesses grow and succeed in the agri-food sector. This initiative plays an important role in encouraging innovation and business development in agriculture.

In addition, programs like the AgRobotics Working Group and Innovation Farms in Ontario bring together farmers, researchers, and technology experts. These collaborations help create practical and sustainable solutions that benefit the farming community and improve agricultural practices.

Another important contribution is The Market at the Western Fair District. This year-round market connects local farmers and producers directly with customers. It attracts thousands of visitors every weekend, helping small businesses grow while strengthening the local food economy.

“Our people are at the heart of everything we do,” said Reg Ash, CEO of the Western Fair Association. “This award reflects the passion, collaboration, and commitment of our team, as well as the strength of the partnerships that help drive our impact across the region.”

The Western Fair District focuses on a people-first approach. Its work supports community programs, encourages inclusivity, and promotes agricultural education through events like the Western Fair. The Raceway also contributes by supporting an important part of Ontario’s agricultural economy.

Overall, Western Fair District continues to show leadership in building a stronger, more connected, and innovative agri-food sector. This award highlights its ongoing commitment to supporting farmers, businesses, and communities.
