Keystone Agricultural Producers President Dan Mazier is pleased with the changes that were announced this week to the AgriInsurance program.
One of the changes will see producers receive higher coverage at a lower cost for 2016.
"It's nice to see because we've noticed the insurance cost going up simply because the value of the grain has been going up as well. It was going to cost them more to insure that value," he said. "It's a good news story."
AgriInsurance coverage will increase an average of seven per cent, while the average premium per acre will decrease by four per cent.
