Central Alberta Animal Cruelty Investigation Results in Two Arrests

RCMP have laid charges against two people following an animal cruelty investigation on a rural property west of Edmonton.

Police conducted an investigation after receiving reports of starving horses on a property in Parkland County.

On Friday, Jan. 4th, Patricia Lynn Moore, 48, was charged with three counts of permitting, or causing, unnecessary pain, suffering or injury to animals.

On Monday, Jan. 7th, RCMP reported they also arrested Ross Andrew Atkinson, 50, and charged him with the same three counts.

Atkinson and Moore were released on bail and are scheduled to appear in Evansburg Provincial Court on Monday, Jan. 14th.
