CFA Focusing On Three Main Election Priorities

The Canadian Federation of Agriculture (CFA) is focusing on three main areas heading into next month's federal election.
 
President Mary Robinson says economic growth is a key concern for the agriculture industry.
 
"Labour will be a big issue, a limiting factor for us in agriculture so we hope that government will take a pretty strong run at that with some career promotion," she commented. "Looking to streamline the temporary foreign worker program, maybe some permanent pathways for farm workers and food workers and as within economic development we would be looking at BRM (Business Risk Management), which is certainly a hot topic in the ag community."
