The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is advancing proposed amendments to Part XV (Animal Identification) of the Health of Animals Regulations through a round of stakeholder consultations.
The CFIA is accepting comments on proposed changes to these Regulations from May 13 to June 26, 2015. Ontario Pork will be providing comments directly to the CFIA and to the Canadian Pork Council (CPC) for a national submission.
Pork producers who want more information on these proposed changes or to add their remarks as part of Ontario Pork’s comments are asked to please contact either Kristian Stephens or Dean Gurney by June 12, 2015.
