CNH Industrial Completes Acquisition of Hemisphere GNSS

CNH Industrial announced it has completed its purchase of global satellite navigation technology company Hemisphere GNSS for $175 million. The acquisition was announced March 30. CNH says the acquisition solidifies its in-house precision, automation and autonomy technology, enabling the company to continue breaking new ground for the agriculture and construction industries.

With Hemisphere’s expertise and network, CNH says it is accelerating its strategic plan to attain leadership in automation technology, expedite delivery of a fully autonomous farming cyle and extend and enhance automation and autonomy across a broad range of agriculture and construction applications.

“From 2024 onward, we will bring notable value to customers through significant advancements in our journey from automating certain tasks to fully autonomous operation,” says Marc Kermisch, chief digital and information officer at CNH.

Field Tile Installation for Improved Drainage

we install field tile to improve soil conditions and drainage efficiency. Proper drainage is critical for long-term field performance and productivity.

The work is completed using a Case IH 470 Quadtrac; however, this will probably be the last time this tractor is used for tiling. While capable, the 470 lacks the power and weight. We will be returning to our Case IH 580 Quadtrac, which is better suited for the demands of field tile installation.
