EIMA Show award for Massey Ferguson All In One innovation

The revolutionary design of Massey Ferguson’s All in One Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system has been recognised in the Technical Innovation Awards at the EIMA 16 Show in Bologna, Italy.

The prestigious Technical Innovation Awards were presented by FederUnacoma - The Italian Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers Federation and are for the best innovations being presented at EIMA.

The All In One system received its special mention for the way Massey Ferguson has incorporated the emission reduction system into a compact package on the Tractor of the Year 2016 Award-winning MF 5700 SL tractor Series.

“Massey Ferguson is thrilled to receive this latest award,” says Campbell Scott, Director, Marketing Services. “It shows, yet again, that Massey Ferguson’s most elegant, practical approach to reducing exhaust emissions is the best solution. All in One not only meets the strictest regulations, but it does this without compromising visibility power or efficiency.”

The award citation explains how the All In One system’s compact dimensions reduces the bonnet height - significantly improving the visibility, which is particularly useful when operating loaders and other front-mounted implements.

With All in One technology the SCR system and Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) are contained together in a compact assembly that tucks away neatly under the right-hand side of the cab.

The system employs a radical, highly efficient design with a special ‘swirl system’, which turns the flow through 180° to thoroughly mix the exhaust gases and Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) such as AdBlue. It is maintenance free and even the exhaust pipe dimensions remain slim and unchanged.

“While developing All In One Massey Ferguson engineers made protecting visibility the top priority,” adds Mr Scott. “All In One shows that it’s possible to produce a straightforward and practical solution to meeting emission regulations without sacrificing visibility, performance or the need to employ additional cooling packs or other large, extraneous additions.”

Specially designed air inlets and outlets on the bonnet channel the incoming and outgoing air around the engine to further improve cooling efficiency.
