HURON TRACTOR ANNOUNCES 2018 SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM WINNERS

 
Huron Tractor is pleased to announce the winners of the 2018 Huron Tractor Scholarship Program:
 
Alexander Kloostra of Monkton (enrolled in Associate Diploma in Agriculture at University of Guelph, Ridgetown Campus); DeeAndra Skinner of Centralia (enrolled in Bachelor of Science/Agriculture at University of Guelph); and Allison Visser of Ravenna (enrolled in Bachelor of Science/Agriculture, University of Guelph).
 
Each winner was presented with a $1500.00 scholarship cheque at Huron Tractor, Exeter, on Friday, August 17.
 
The award recipients were selected at the discretion of an independent scholarship selection committee, with consideration to factors such as grades, eligibility, and essay submission information. Candidates had to be enrolling for their first-year into a full-time, undergraduate and/or graduate Agricultural program at a recognized post-secondary educational institution.
 
The 9-location John Deere dealership introduced the annual Scholarship Program in June 2018, as a reflection of the company’s commitment to excellence in education and the long-term sustainability of Ontario Agriculture.
 
Three $1500.00 post-secondary education scholarships were also awarded internally to Huron Tractor employees’ children. These winners included: Mykayla Turner of Dashwood (enrolled in Bachelor of Science at University of Waterloo. Mykayla is the daughter of Joel Turner from Huron Tractor, Exeter Parts dept.); Heather Taylor of Mount Elgin (enrolled in Bachelor of Arts at University of Ottawa. Heather is the daughter of Jeremy Taylor from Huron Tractor, Thamesford Sales dept.); and Meredith Wise of Clinton (enrolled in Dental Hygiene at Fanshawe College. Meredith is the daughter of Charlie Wise from Huron Tractor, Exeter Service dept.).
 
 
Huron Tractor thanks and congratulates all the praise-worthy applicants on their endeavours and wishes everyone a successful school year ahead.
