Krone Introduces The Next Generation of Performance with the AM R 3-Point Disc Mower

Krone presents its newest performer in innovative mowing capabilities, the AM R 3-point disc mower. The AM R series is evolving mower technology, combining cutting edge design, durability and efficiently into an elite new generation of mowers.

“The new AM R 3-point disc mower combines the durability and reliability of our trusted line of mowers with new, greater enhancements,” said Jody McRee, Krone Sales Operation Manager. “Building on the reputation of our trusted AM mower being a ‘bullet proof machine’, we have sought to align key new features in the AM R mower that raises the bar of productivity in the field.”

The AM R 3-point disc mower features QuickChange blades, making the blade changing process easy and efficient by needing only a single, on-board tool that comes with the mower. The proven Krone SmartCut cutterbar, available with optional three-year warranty, provides increased blade overlap, allowing for a better cut quality in all crop conditions. The cutterbar also features no inner skid shoe to reduce blockages and improve crop flow. The AM R offers a beltless drive system, powered by a highly efficient drive shaft system for reduced maintenance and superb performance.

The Krone innovation continues with this mower series, utilizing the SafeCut hub system. Designed to protect the gears in case of contact with a foreign object in the field, the SafeCut hubs shear a roll pin and eliminate impact on the spur gears to reduce the risk of damage.

“A sense of efficiency has been key for the Krone AM R 3-point disc mower design,” said McRee. “These features allow the AM R to combine the latest technology with assurance of quality performance to our customers and impactful results in the field.”

Krone’s line of AM disc mowers started in 1995, and are known in the industry for their reliability, easy handling and providing the ultimate experience in mowing. The new AM R 3-point disc mower is the next generation of the AM disc mower series and will be replacing the AM model over the next two years.
