G3 Unveils Plans For Two New Elevators In Central Alberta

G3 is expanding its grain elevator network with two new facilities in Central Alberta.

They've announced they'll be building new high-efficiency grain elevators near Irricana and in Stettler County.

G3 says the elevators will have a 42,000 tonne capacity and a railway loop track which can accommodate a 150-car train.

The company also has elevators under construction in Morinville, Wetaskiwin, Carmangay and in Maidstone, Saskatchewan.

In addition, the company is building a new port terminal in North Vancouver due to open in 2020.

G3 CEO Don Chapman says they're excited to offer farmers a new choice to market their grain as Central Alberta is one on the most important grain growing regions in Canada.

Construction on the Stettler County and Irricana elevators is planned to start by the Summer, with the goal of being complete in 2020.
