GEA Launches Next Generation of Lagoon PTO Pumps with Introduction of the New SuperPump 1200 Lagoon

– As livestock operations continue to grow and application windows become increasingly compressed, the need for higher-capacity manure transfer equipment has never been greater. GEA is responding with the launch of its Next Generation Lagoon PTO Pump portfolio, marking a major milestone in the evolution of manure handling equipment. The new portfolio introduces the all-new SuperPump 1200 Lagoon, alongside the next-generation SuperPump 800 Lagoon and AgiPump 800 Lagoon, establishing a new benchmark for pumping performance, durability, serviceability, and operator experience.

Built on 70 years of manure handling expertise, GEA’s next-generation Lagoon PTO pump portfolio has been completely redesigned to meet the evolving demands of modern livestock operations and custom manure applicators. As farms continue to consolidate and manure volumes increase, operators need equipment capable
of moving more material in less time—without compromising reliability, durability, or ease of maintenance.

At the forefront of the new portfolio is the SuperPump 1200 Lagoon, a high-capacity 12-inch discharge pump engineered for maximum transfer performance. Designed to meet the demands of today’s increasingly narrow application windows, the SuperPump 1200 Lagoon enables operators to move greater volumes of manure in less time, helping maximize productivity and efficiency during peak application periods.

A Complete Redesign from the Ground Up The next generation of GEA Lagoon PTO pumps introduces significant innovations across the entire equipment design, delivering meaningful improvements in performance, durability, serviceability, and operator experience.

Key innovations include:
 High-capacity pumping performance designed for demanding manure management applications
 Optimized flow path with tighter engineering tolerances to improve liquid behavior efficiency and reduce component stress
 NEW GEA Tuff wear-resistant components engineered for extended service life in abrasive environments
 Heavy-duty driveline and pump architecture built for demanding operating conditions
 Standard wireless remote control
 Modular bolt-on construction that simplifies maintenance and supports future upgrades
 Standardized components across models to improve parts availability and reduce inventory requirements
 Redesigned agitation nozzle with improved durability and agitation performance
 Improved operator accessibility and maintenance features
 Factory-assembled delivery to reduce dealer setup time and accelerate commissioning

The result is a pump engineered to maximize uptime while simplifying operation, maintenance, and service for operators, dealers, and service technicians alike

Designed for Long-Term Ownership

Beyond raw performance, the next generation of GEA Lagoon PTO pumps were developed with a strong focus on total cost of ownership. Standardized components, modular assemblies, improved service access, and durable wear-resistant materials help reduce maintenance complexity and simplify repairs throughout the life of the equipment. The modular design philosophy also allows dealers to benefit from reduced parts inventories, simplified technician training, and improved service responsiveness, while operators benefit from faster maintenance and reduced downtime.

A New Standard in High-Volume Transfer

The SuperPump 1200 Lagoon was specifically developed for high-volume manure transfer applications. Featuring a large 12-inch discharge system and optimized liquid flow path, the pump delivers exceptional transfer and agitation performances while maintaining smooth material flow, reduces component stress, and improved longterm reliability. Operators can transfer more manure in less time while minimizing wear on critical components.

In certified performance testing conducted by an independent third party, the SuperPump 1200 Lagoon, equipped with the GEA Tuff housing and impeller package and operating in water, achieved flow rates exceeding 12,000 US GPM¹.To complement the new pump, GEA has also introduced the LoadPipe 1200, a wheeled loading system specifically designed to match the flow capacity of the SuperPump 1200 Lagoon and support efficient loading operations.

Product Manager Perspective

" We challenged every aspect of the design to improve performance, durability, serviceability, and ease of use,” said Luc Saucier, Product Manager, GEA ProManure. " Through advanced simulation tools and an extensive validation testing program, our engineering team optimized the flow path, reduced turbulence and cavitation, and minimized stress on critical components. This approach also improved the pump’s efficiency, helping maximize overall equipment performance. The result is a pump that delivers exceptional transfer and agitation performance while making more efficient use of available tractor power, maximizing component life, and ensuring long-term equipment reliability."

The Next Generation Lagoon PTO Pump portfolio is available through authorized GEA dealers across North America. Combining higher capacity, improved durability, and enhanced serviceability, the new platform reinforces GEA's commitment to helping livestock producers and custom applicators maximize productivity while reducing downtime
