Innovate Niagara joins Canada’s Food & Agri-Tech Engine

Innovate Niagara has joined forces with Bioenterprise Canada to become the latest partner in Canada’s Food & Agri-Tech Engine. The collaboration will help expand support for agri-tech and food innovation in Niagara and connect local companies to a national network of resources, expertise, and commercialization opportunities.

“Innovate Niagara brings deep expertise in supporting startups and scale-ups, and we’re thrilled to welcome them into The Engine as a Collaborative Partner,” says Dave Smardon, CEO of Bioenterprise Canada. “Their regional insights and sector reach will be a valuable addition to our ever-growing national network and focus on innovation commercialization support.”

Innovate Niagara sees the partnership as a strategic opportunity to grow its capacity in the agriculture and food sector by collaborating with an organization that shares its mission of advancing innovation through partnership and knowledge-sharing. Through Canada’s Food & Agri-Tech Engine, the two organizations will work together to expand access to technical expertise, mentorship, funding programs, events, and market intelligence.

Its clients span a range of sectors including agriculture and food, advanced manufacturing, and digital media. The partnership with Bioenterprise Canada will allow Innovate Niagara to better serve the growing needs of agri-tech and food entrepreneurs in the region.
