With poor pasture conditions in many parts of the province, some beef cows are not receiving the level of nutrition that is required to keep the animals in good shape prior to the onset of winter. Barry Yaremcio, beef/forage specialist at the Ag-Info Centre, says this has implications for feed costs, as well as cows in late pregnancy.
