New executive named to Canadian Agricultural Hall of Fame board

The Canadian Agricultural Hall of Fame Association (CAHFA) announced its 2018 board of directors recently, including newly named President Guy Charbonneau and Vice President Trish Jordan.

Guy Charbonneau, from Ste-Anne-des-Plaines, QC, has been on the CAHFA board since 2010, and takes over from outgoing President Herb McLane. Charbonneau’s family is the 12th generation of farmers, and he operated a 250 head Holstein herd with his brothers. Since 2009, he has been mayor of Ste-Anne-des-Plaines.

Trish Jordan is Public and Industry Affairs Director with Monsanto Canada in Winnipeg, MB and has been on the CAHFA board for the past five years. She’s worked in Canadian agriculture for the past 33 years and is a respected advocate for farmers, modern agriculture and the agricultural industry as a whole. Trish is also an avid golfer, curler and Winnipeg Jets fan.

“I am very proud to be taking on this new responsibility with the assistance of a great group of CAHFA board members,’ says Charbonneau. “Our Past President Herb McLane brought our organization into a new era. And I want to express my sincere appreciation for his leadership that saw an updated inductee gallery in Toronto, moving the annual induction banquet around the country, and a new bilingual website. I’m looking forward to working with our board to increase membership in CAHFA, consolidate our finances and build on the relevance our association has for the Canadian agricultural industry.”

The 12-person CAHFA board also includes:

Herb McLane, AB – past president
