Ontario Young Farmers Forum moves to an in-person and virtual program for 2021

Guelph, Ontario – The Junior Farmer’s Association of Ontario (JFAO) has been closely monitoring local, provincial, and national health updates and guidelines, with particular consideration for the Ontario Young Farmers Forum (OYFF). The annual event was moved to a virtual format in 2020. For 2021 the OYFF committee is planning a hybrid event this year with in-person and virtual sessions.

The 2021 in-person and virtual program for the Ontario Young Farmers Forum will consist of in-person farm tours and a four-part virtual speaker series. There will be two in-person farm tours held in early November; one in the eastern region and one in the western region of the province. The speaker series will also take place during the month of November. A number of topics will be covered in these sessions and the final session with include a panel of young farmers. Program dates are listed below:

  • East Zone Farm Tour: Saturday, November 27th at 10:00 am
  • West Zone Farm Tour: Sunday, November 28th at 10:00 am
  • Session 1: Thursday, November 4th at 7:00 pm
  • Session 2: Wednesday, November 10th at 7:00 pm
  • Session 3: Monday, November 15th at 7:00pm
  • Session 4: Tuesday, November 23rd at 7:00 pm

2021 will mark the 23rd year of OYFF and JFAO is excited to present an engaging and accessible program for all attendees. The virtual program will provide the opportunity for young people working in agriculture to learn, connect, and network with other members of the agriculture industry from across Ontario
