Record Interest in USDA’s climate programs

The President’s Inflation Reduction Act has been a game-changer for the USDA's green initiatives. Tom Vilsack can't hide his excitement. The act provided a significant budget to push forward our nation’s biggest combat against climate change.

Farmers and rural areas are showing keen interest in programs like the Environmental Quality Incentives Program because they support practices that reduce harmful emissions and are climate friendly.

Plus, there’s a new favorite in town: The Urban and Community Forestry Program. It’s all about planting more trees in cities. Imagine more shady spots and fresher air during your city walks.

It’s exciting to see the USDA announce a vast $17 billion fund by August 2023. It directly supports our farmers and local businesses. With grants for clean energy and support for future agricultural stars, the USDA is indeed making waves.
