Reminder: Strategic Farming: Field Notes Launches May 7

Register now for the 2025 launch of Strategic Farming: Field Notes Wednesday, May 7! Dr. Jeff Coulter, Extension corn agronomist, and Matt Pfarr, Extension educator-crops, will be on hand to take your questions and discuss planter tips for even establishment.

The  webinar series will continues throughout the growing season on Wednesdays from 8 to 8:30 a.m.

Field Notes features a live, interactive webinar with specialists addressing in-season issues as they arise.  Crop producers and other ag professionals are invited to join us for timely topics including weather impacts, insect and disease issues, soil fertility concerns, agronomics, and more.

We cover: today I am so excited to share this conversation with my buddy Eric Nordell of Beech Grove Farm in Pennsylvania to chat about, well, a lot of things. Eric and his wife Anne have run beech grove farm since 1983 and they do things a little differently (like farming with horses) but they dry farm which we discuss, they use some cover crops in the paths in interesting ways (also discussed) and in fact, we get into a whole digression about their deer fencing that you’re gonna wanna hear.
