Roger Chevraux Elected as New Board Chair for Alberta Canola

Roger Chevraux, from Killam, Alta. has been elected as the new board chair of Alberta Canola following the group’s annual general meeting (AGM), a Jan. 31 news release says. Chevraux takes over from past chair Kevin Serfas.

Ian Chitwood, from Airdrie, Alta. was elected as vice-chair, while Charles Simoneau from Guy, Alta. joined the board as the representative for Alberta Canola’s region three. Outgoing directors are Serfas, Denis Guindo and Holly White, the release notes.

“I would like to thank Kevin, Holly and Denis for the time and effort they put into Alberta Canola.  Representing canola growers and bringing the different needs and conditions of canola growers to the Board table allowed us to make far better decisions,” Chevraux says.
