Saskatchewan Oilseed Producer Meetings get underway this week

Oilseed Producer meetings happen this week and will give growers an update on grain marketing, agronomy, insect, disease, and weed information.

The meetings are scheduled for Tuesday in Moose Jaw at the Heritage Inn, Wednesday in Swift Current at the IPLEX, Thursday in Rosetown at the Civic Centre, and Friday in North Battleford at the Dekker Centre.

Regional Crop Specialist, Kaeley Kindrachuk fills us in on the agenda.

"We are going to have canola council agronomists addressing club root," she said. "We will also have an insect and disease update from our provincial specialist Matthew Bernard. We will go through some of the results from the 2014-2015 herbicide resistance weed survey. We will have someone talk about grain marketing, and Rachael Evans with the Flax Council of Canada will talk about flax agronomy."
