Latest USGC Findings Confirm Top-grade Corn Quality

The 2024/2025 Corn Export Cargo Quality Report by the U.S. Grains Council (USGC) presents a promising outlook on U.S. corn exports, surpassing the standard quality levels.

Verity Ulibarri, USGC Chairwoman, highlighted the critical role of the report in international trade, stating, “It’s difficult to understate the role of transparency in building trust between business partners." This document complements the earlier Corn Harvest Quality Report, together offering a comprehensive analysis from harvest to export.

With samples from 425 export shipments undergoing rigorous inspection, the report showcases U.S. corn's robust quality, meeting or exceeding the stringent U.S. No. 2 grade.

This year’s corn benefitted from optimal growing and harvesting conditions, resulting in record yields and maintaining quality with an average test weight of 58.3 pounds per bushel and minimal presence of broken corn and foreign material.

The U.S. Grains Council ensures these standards through transparent reporting and consistent evaluation methods, which not only assure buyers of the quality but also solidify the U.S.'s reputation as a dependable corn exporter. Over the next few months, the USGC will host several quality seminars globally to educate and assure international buyers about the consistency and excellence of U.S. corn.

This proactive approach by the USGC to detail and disseminate quality attributes significantly contributes to the sustained trust and reliability perceived by global markets towards U.S. agricultural exports.
