Topigs Norsvin Canada Names Mike Shaw as New Managing Director

Topigs Norsvin Canada has announced the appointment of Mike Shaw as its new Managing Director, effective May 1, 2025. Shaw brings extensive experience and leadership to the role, having been with the organization since 2008. He most recently served as Director of Operations for Canada and continues to hold the position of Global Operations Manager at Topigs Norsvin International.

In his new role, Shaw will report to Geert Rombouts, Regional Director for North America. He succeeds Cam McGavin, who will stay involved with key accounts, special projects, and advising during the transition.

“I’m very pleased to take on this leadership role at Topigs Norsvin Canada,” said Shaw. “With our world-class genetics program and talented team, we’re uniquely positioned to help Canadian pork producers enhance efficiency, sustainability, and profitability.”

Rombouts praised Shaw’s qualifications, stating, “Mike’s strategic insight, technical expertise, and customer-focused approach make him the ideal leader for this next chapter. His deep understanding of our genetics and market landscape will be crucial to our continued growth in Canada.”
