TUdi Project Wraps Up: Delivering Tools and Resources for Sustainable Soil Management

Healthy soil is the foundation of productive and resilient agriculture, but understanding and managing it effectively can be complex. That’s where the TUdi project has made its mark.

As the project officially concludes, TUdi leaves behind a legacy of international collaboration, research, and practical tools for soil regeneration. On 4 June 2025, the project held its final meeting in Brussels, bringing together partners and stakeholders to reflect on its achievements and future impact.

TUdi, a joint initiative between the European Union and China, funded through the Horizon 2020 programme and the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology, has worked across Europe, China, and New Zealand to tackle soil degradation.

Discussing the research are Mikayla Spinler, a graduate research assistant at Kansas State University, and Ashley Hartman, a research coordinator at Pillen Family Farms and DNA Genetics. The two discuss how the research was chosen, conducted and next steps on today’s episode.
