Last week, U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke L. Rollins, unveiled The Great American Cotton Plan (PDF, 2.7 MB). This plan received widespread support across the country.
Here is what they are saying:
Administration
Administrator Kelly Loeffler – “Proud to stand with Secretary Rollins, Representative Ciscomani, and our incredible American farmers in Arizona to launch USDA’s Great American Cotton Plan. The Trump Administration is working every day to ensure that our producers come first. This plan is part of our effort to strengthen American agriculture, rebuild domestic industry, and put farmers back at the center of our economy.”
Secretary Robert F. Kennedy – “Yes: plant, not plastic. Proud to support USDA, Secretary Rollins, and the Great American Cotton Plan. American-grown cotton supports our farmers, strengthens rural communities, fuels U.S. manufacturing, and gives families a natural alternative to synthetic, plastic-based materials. This plan helps Make America Healthy Again.”
Environmental Protection Agency – “Supporting American farmers means supporting American-made products and healthier communities. EPA is proud to support efforts to strengthen U.S. cotton production and help bring this critical industry back.”

Representative Robert Aderholt – “Great news from USDA for our American farmers and families!”
Representative Rick Allen – “Georgia is consistently a top state for cotton production and acres planted—with the industry providing over 50,000 jobs statewide and an economic impact exceeding $3 billion. Chairman John Boozman – "I appreciate Secretary Rollins work to bolster American cotton producers and am proud USDA is implementing these long-needed improvements for farmers. Many of these were secured in the Working Families Tax Cuts to help our farmers plan for a successful future. I remain committed to building off this foundation with Farm Bill 2.0 and advancing other important initiatives like the Buying American Cotton Act (BACA)."
Senator Katie Britt-Boyd – “Thank you, Secretary Rollins, for putting American cotton first. Producers in Alabama and across the Southeast rely on strong markets and regulatory certainty, and this plan delivers. In the Senate, I will continue championing the Buying American Cotton Act to provide stability for our producers at home. I’m proud to support those who grow our high-quality, Made in America cotton”
Representative Buddy Carter – “The Great American Cotton Plan is about putting American cotton farmers first. Thanks to the leadership of President Trump and Secretary Rollins, we are expanding markets, boosting demand for American-grown cotton, and protecting our farmers. This plan is good for rural Georgia and communities across the nation that produce quality, American cotton.”
