Strategic partnership strengthens innovation and global equipment markets

Yanmar Holdings Co., Ltd. and AriensCo have announced a new strategic partnership that brings together two long-established family-owned businesses with a shared focus on innovation, quality, and long-term growth.

Under the agreement, Yanmar will become the majority partner in AriensCo, while the Ariens family will continue to maintain a significant ownership stake and lead the company's operations and strategy from its headquarters in Brillion, Wisconsin. The partnership is designed to strengthen both companies and create new opportunities for customers, dealers, employees, and business partners.

Despite the ownership change, both organizations will continue operating under their existing brand names. Their headquarters, manufacturing facilities, distribution networks, and teams will remain in place. Brands associated with AriensCo, including Ariens, Gravely, and AS-Motor, will continue serving their customers and dealer networks as they do today.

Company leaders believe the partnership will help both organizations better respond to changes shaping the equipment industry. Advancements in automation, artificial intelligence, electrification, and increasingly complex supply chains are driving major transformations across manufacturing and agriculture.

By combining resources and expertise, Yanmar and AriensCo aim to remain competitive while continuing to deliver high-quality products and services.

The agreement unites Yanmar's global engineering, production, and diagnostic capabilities with AriensCo's strong manufacturing and distribution presence in North America and Europe. Together, the companies expect to accelerate research and development efforts and support the creation of next-generation industrial power equipment solutions.

"Strong relationships have always been at the core of AriensCo's strategy, and we are confident this new partnership with Yanmar is the right next step to position our company as an R&D leader while maintaining the same commitments to quality and longevity that have always distinguished our brands," said Dan Ariens, Chairman & CEO, AriensCo. "As a family business with a history spanning more than 100 years, Yanmar shares our belief that family ownership is a competitive advantage.

A key focus of the partnership is maintaining the values that have guided both businesses for decades. As family-owned organizations with histories spanning more than a century, both companies emphasize long-term planning, customer relationships, and product reliability. Leaders from both sides noted that family ownership allows them to focus on sustainable growth rather than short-term business performance.

The collaboration is also expected to create benefits for AriensCo's extensive dealer network. Over time, dealers could gain access to broader technology offerings, additional service resources, advanced diagnostic tools, and opportunities connected to Yanmar's global business operations. At the same time, AriensCo plans to maintain the close relationships and personalized service that have long been valued by dealers and customers.

Industry experts view partnerships like this as increasingly important as equipment manufacturers face growing technological demands and global competition. Investments in electrification, smart equipment systems, digital diagnostics, and automation require significant research and development of resources. By working together, Yanmar and AriensCo can leverage their combined strengths to address these challenges and pursue new market opportunities.

The partnership also reflects a broader trend within the manufacturing and agricultural equipment sectors, where companies are seeking strategic alliances to improve efficiency, expand capabilities, and increase global reach. Combining technical expertise with established market networks can help businesses adapt to changing customer needs while maintaining strong operational foundations.

Both organizations have expressed confidence that the partnership will support long-term growth and generate additional value for customers, dealers, employees, and communities. Company leaders emphasized that their shared commitment to quality, innovation, and trusted relationships will remain central to their future plans.

"AriensCo has built trusted brands and strong customer and dealer relationships over generations," said Takehito Yamaoka, President and Representative Director of Yanmar Holdings Co., Ltd. "Together, we aim to create greater value for customers, dealers and the communities we serve. This partnership will also provide a strong foundation for the long-term growth of both companies. We look forward to building a lasting partnership founded on our shared values."
