Zetor North America spotlights the new "Zetor by Pininfarina" design concept. Pininfarina clients include prestigious brands like Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, BMW and Toyota.

Brno, Czech Republic and Jacksonville,  Florida, (AgPR), Nov. 16, 2015 -- ZETOR TRACTORS a.s. announced it's expanding its portfolio of four tractor series to a total of six. In 2013, ZETOR TRACTORS a.s. expanded the portfolio with the new MAJOR series and added the new CRYSTAL model in 2015. In addition, a “ZETOR by Pininfarina" design concept and the latest six-cylinder CRYSTAL tractor was announced. And, visitors at the recent Agitechnica trade fair in Hanover, Germany, saw the prototype of  a three-cylinder tractor with an output of 49 HP. That model will serve as the base for the fifth series. “Our goals for the upcoming years are quite clear – expand our product portfolio and secure ZETOR’s position in key markets.  We are responding to any design requirements our customers may have; that is why we have presented a number of new product and design features. While expanding our model series, we are not forgetting to innovate our current product range. The brand’s strategy and direction also provides an opportunity to new partners we would like to approach,” says Adam Žert, director of the Sales and Marketing Department at ZETOR TRACTORS a.s.

With the expansion of its product portfolio and the company development plans in mind, ZETOR TRACTORS a.s. is adamant in the expansion of its dealership network. The company is currently focusing on seeking new business partners in Western Europe. The mission is to secure the position of the brand in markets such as Germany, France, the United Kingdom, the Benelux countries, etc. “Our mission is to strengthen our position abroad and to make sure all the needs of our customers are met,” Adam Žert adds.

Visitors to the Agritechnica fair had the opportunity to see the latest arrival from June: the six-cylinder CRYSTAL tractor, which delivers 144 or 163 HP. The new model excels in ease of  handling and low operating and maintenance costs.

The presentation of several new products shows that ZETOR TRACTORS a.s. is dedicated to research and development activities. Apart from the ZETOR by Pininfarina design study, the Hannover fair also presented a three-cylinder tractor with an output of 50 HP that will serve as the basis for the new, fifth model line. The company also informed of its plans to expand the current MAJOR model series (see below for details).

ZETOR TRACTORS a.s. used the trade fair as an opportunity to confirm it is a modern company that focuses on the future, technical innovation and valuable new products. Apart from that, the company took the Hannover fair as an opportunity to commemorate its 70th anniversary and presented an exclusive calendar for 2016.

“What makes us really proud is the limited edition, which is an original artistic rendition of the prestige, strength, stability as well as the modern direction of the ZETOR brand,” says Margaréta Víghová, director of the Corporate Communication Department.

A professional collection of photographs of the most iconic models of tractors presented in the most unusual environments, the calendar has great collectability potential. The limited edition of the calendar also symbolizes the entire way ZETOR has taken, which can be described in four words: 70 years of innovation. The calendar is available from authorized ZETOR dealers and the ZETOR GALLERY in Brno in the Czech Republic.

Fifth Model Line Is Coming

The Agritechnica fair saw the presentation of the prototype of a three-cylinder tractor that will be the basis of the fifth model line of ZETOR tractors. The prototype features a three-cylinder engine that delivers 49 HP. The tractor will use a mechanical gearbox with full synchronization, eight forward and eight reverse gears and a maximum speed of 30 kph. The new three-cylinder engines are suitable especially for small farms and hobby farmers.

Plans To Expand The MAJOR Series

ZETOR TRACTORS a.s. has informed of the expansion of the MAJOR series with two new products. They will be available with four-cylinder engines delivering 75.3 HP and several gearbox variants. The machines will feature either a gearbox with 12 forward and 12 reverse gears or a gearbox with 24 forward and 12 reverse gears which will be operated via a two-stage torque multiplier  (PowerShift) and a hydraulic shuttle ((PowerShuttle).  Redesign of the controls has been also mentioned. A novel feature is the second seat. All new models will have a 120-liter tank and a maximum speed of 40 kph. New products will be used especially on small farms focused on rearing animals.
