A rabbit hole in a farmer’s field in Shropshire, England, led to a network of underground caves.
The caves, discovered in March 2017, are about three feet (one metre) under the surface of the ground. The caves feature multiple pillars, alcoves and carvings.
Historic England estimates these caves, known as the Caynton Caves, were built between the 18th and 19th centuries. Local legends suggest the Knights of the Templar used them.
The caves were apparently sealed off in 2012 to prevent people from entering them and performing “black magic” rituals.
