The United States-Chile Free Trade Agreement came into effect on Jan. 1, 2004.
The deal set a path to 2015 where all U.S. exports would enter Chile duty-free.
That year, U.S. ag exports to Chile totaled US$853 million. In 2018, the export value had grown to US$979 million.
Some ag beneficiaries of the deal include the pork, beef, soybean and wheat sectors.
