Fifteen agtech startups from Canada and the UK join accelerator program

A new group of 15 agtech startups from Canada and the United Kingdom has been selected to join Cohort 5 of a leading agriculture accelerator program. This initiative aims to support innovative companies in scaling their solutions to address global farming challenges.

The program, organized by Cultivator powered by Conexus, brings together agriculture and technology to help startups grow and reach commercialization. Beginning in April, the three-month accelerator includes both virtual and in-person sessions. It will conclude with a showcase event at Ag in Motion, one of western Canada’s largest outdoor farm expos.

“Cultivator is part of a much larger national and global ecosystem, and our focus is accelerating the path to commercialization. We work closely with industry partners, farmers, academia and government to help innovators move their technologies from development to real-world adoption,” said Laura Mock, Director at Cultivator.

“Canada plays a vital role in global agriculture and is uniquely positioned to help innovators prove technologies that can help feed the world more sustainably, which is why we have seen so much success through the AGTECH ACCELERATOR,” said Mock.

Cohort 5 includes a diverse range of companies offering solutions across crop production, livestock management, data analytics, and farm operations. From the United Kingdom, companies such as Agribot AI, Aspia Space, Digital Odour Technologies, and Fairman Knight and Sons are introducing advanced tools like AI crop forecasting, land intelligence systems, pest detection, and sustainable waste conversion.

Canadian participants include Agriprix and Grainflow from British Columbia, CattleOS and StrongBó from Ontario, Farmer Titan and OpticAG from Manitoba, Ranchflow AI from Nova Scotia, Ultraview Technologies from Saskatchewan, and Mon Système Fourrager from Quebec.

These startups focus on improving efficiency through AI platforms, livestock monitoring, smart scheduling, equipment diagnostics, and farm data management. TurnKey Genomics and Yadag also contribute to solutions in bioinformatics and agricultural workforce management.

The program has already supported 62 companies in earlier cohorts. These businesses have raised over $210 million in private investment, generated significant revenue, and created hundreds of jobs.

By supporting innovation and collaboration, the accelerator helps farmers adopt modern technologies, improve productivity, and build a more sustainable future for global agriculture.
