Farm Bureau supports Brooke Rollins as New USDA Head

The American Farm Bureau, led by President Zippy Duvall, has reached out to Senate leadership advocating for the prompt confirmation of Brooke Rollins as Secretary of Agriculture. Her nomination recently received unanimous support from the Senate Agriculture Committee.

In a letter to Senate Majority Leader John Thune and Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, Duvall expressed the critical need for Rollins' leadership at the USDA. "I respectfully urge you to prioritize her confirmation and work with your colleagues to ensure that the USDA has the leadership necessary to support the millions of Americans who depend on its programs and policies," Duvall wrote.

Duvall praised Rollins' previous White House experience and her advocacy for agricultural policies, emphasizing that "Her experience, leadership, and deep commitment to American agriculture make her an outstanding candidate to lead the department at this critical time.”

Brooke Rollins is recognized for her history of supporting economic growth and rural development. Her confirmation as Secretary of Agriculture is seen as vital for continuing strong advocacy for American food security and agricultural innovation.

This endorsement from the Farm Bureau underscores the importance of steady and informed leadership at the USDA to effectively support the agricultural community through its many challenges.
