New genAG dealerships boost equipment access and support across Dakotas

CLAAS of America has announced plans to expand its dealer network across the Northern Plains by introducing new full-service dealerships through genAG, a well-known Canadian dealer group. These new locations will serve farmers in Aberdeen, South Dakota, and Minot, North Dakota, with an additional facility planned near Bismarck to support parts and service needs.

"These new dealerships represent an important investment for CLAAS customers and is a commitment to agriculture in the Dakotas," said Torey Hadland, Vice President, CLAAS of America.

"As one of the leading CLAAS dealerships in neighboring Manitoba, genAG brings a strong focus on customer service and technical expertise to the Dakotas, and these locations will ensure farmers in this region have reliable access to the full CLAAS lineup and the support they need when it matters most," said Torey Hadland.

The Aberdeen site has already been secured and is expected to open first. These dealerships will provide farmers with access to the complete CLAAS product range, including combines, forage harvesters, tractors, balers, hay tools, and advanced digital solutions.

Each location will also include trained technicians and mobile service teams to reduce equipment downtime during important farming seasons.

This expansion comes at a time when changes are taking place in the existing dealer network. As a current dealer prepares to exit by the end of 2026, CLAAS is working to ensure that farmers continue to receive strong support. By partnering with experienced groups like genAG, the company aims to strengthen service availability and improve response times for customers.

"Our goal is to make it easier for customers to do business with CLAAS," said Christoph Tetzlaff, Vice President of Dealer & Network Development, Americas, at CLAAS of America. "By expanding our dealer footprint with strong partners like genAg, we're improving parts availability, shortening response times and bringing high-quality service closer to the farm."

The company has emphasized that these new dealerships represent a long-term investment in agriculture across the Dakotas. Improved parts availability and closer service locations are expected to make operations more efficient for farmers in the region.

In addition to developments in the Dakotas, CLAAS is also expanding support in other areas. A new FARMPOINT location has been established in Fort Dodge, Iowa, which is now fully operational for the 2026 season. Meanwhile, an existing dealer in Minnesota has expanded its parts offerings to better support combining equipment in key grain-producing regions.

"We are proud to invest in Alberta Ag Centre and to help ensure that farmers across southern and central Alberta continue receiving the exceptional service and support they deserve," said Mackenzie Duke, President and CEO, Derek Stimson Holdings Ltd.

"Our priority is stability, continuity and strengthening the CLAAS dealership's ability to serve its customers for decades to come," said Mackenzie Duke.

Further updates on dealership openings, staffing, and customer transition plans are expected as development continues.
