John Deere 9770STS combine sells for top dollar at BigIron auction

More than 70 bids were placed on the combine before it sold

A combine from Texas was the top selling item during a Nov. 29 BigIron auction.

The 2008 John Deere 9770STS combine from Winnie, TX sold for US$70,500 (CAD$90,800) to a buyer from Kansas after 76 bids.

Specs: 2,075 engine hours, 1,483 separator hours, 3 Spd Transmission, Front Tires Goodyear 900/65R32 Back Tires 23.1-30, AM/FM Radio, Cloth Air Seat, New Concave New Auger Tie Rods.



 

Another 2008 John Deere 9770STS combine from Winnie, TX, sold for US$68,250 (CAD$87,928). The combine sold to a buyer from Iowa after 91 bids.

Specs: 2,338 engine hours, 1,638 separator hours, 3 Spd Hydrostat Transmission, Bullet Rotor, Front Tires Firestone 76X50.00-32 16 Ply, Back Tires Firestone 28L.26 12ply, Ac/Heat, AM/FM, Radio, Cloth Air Seat, New Concave New Turbocharger New Auger.

A 2008 Krone Big Pack 890 big square baler from Corning, AR sold for US$29,837 (CAD$38,440) to a buyer from Oklahoma after 144 bids.

Specs: 3X3X8 Bales, 69 hrs showing, 2586 Bale Count, Vredestein Flotation + 500/50-17 Tires, Dual Axles, 4000/440 Twine, Onboard Air System, Autoluber, Adjustable Bale Density, Max PTO Speed 1000/Min, Wheel Blocks.

A 2005 Sterling 9500 floater fertilizer spreader with a New Leader bed from Corning, AR sold for US$26,750 (CAD$34,461) to a buyer from Illinois after 129 bids.

Specs: 208,141 miles showing, CAT C11 Engine, 10 Speed Road Ranger Transmission, 2004 New Leader Bed, CD Player, Heated Mirrors, Raven Monitor, Cruise Control, Air Brakes, PTO Driven, 1 Bin 8.5' Wide, 13' Long Bed, 15' Wheelbase, Tires: Rear 48x31-20, Front 42x25-20, Light-Bar On Hood.

A 1995 John Deere 8300 MFWD tractor from Holdrege, NE sold for US$25,850 (CAD$33,302) to a buyer from the same state after 172 bids.

Specs: 4,151 rolled over hours showing, Power Shift, Rear Tires 480/80R46, Front Tires 380/85R34, Big 1000 PTO, 4 Hydraulics, 12 Degelman Dozer.

Historically, the USDA December crop report is a non-event or another dud report as the USDA reserves any final supply changes to the final report in January of the following year in this case 2026. But after the longest U.S. government shutdown in history at 43 days and no October crop report will they provide more data/surprise and make an exception?
