Customize Your Cored Density

Krone’s V 190 round baler is raising the bar for haymaking technology.

Newly designed with high capacity and speed in mind, it’s perfect for both dry and wet hay conditions.

Farms.com recently met with Brent Raines, product specialist with Krone, to learn more about this unit.

He says a standout feature is its three distinct pressure zones, allowing operators to customize the center, middle, and outer core of each bale. This lets farmers set both the thickness and density for each section, offering better control over bale quality.

Ease of use is central to the V 190’s design.

One of the most appreciated innovations is its swiveling net wrap system. Traditional rolls can be heavy and tough to handle, especially in the field.

The V 190 makes wrap loading quicker and safer, which is especially helpful for younger or less experienced operators.

In addition to the main roll, the baler has storage for a third backup roll, reducing downtime during long days in the field.

The baler runs at 540 RPM and is available in models that produce bales up to six feet tall, with other sizes available up to five feet.

For those needing even more durability and features, Krone offers a Plus Series, built for commercial and heavy-duty use.

It’s ideal for those producing high bale counts—like 10,000 bales or more—as it includes a fast tailgate cycle time of just 5 seconds, cutting down operational time significantly.

There’s no need to throttle down or adjust RPMs—the system is smooth and ready with each pass.

Raines provides more details in the video below.
