$35,000 to boost local charities through hero nominations

Kubota Canada Ltd., in collaboration with the Canadian Hockey League (CHL), has announced the start of their sixth annual Community Hero contest. This initiative seeks to identify and celebrate individuals across Canada who significantly contribute to their communities.

The contest is a heartfelt gesture to acknowledge and support the unsung heroes of Canadian towns from coast to coast.

The Community Hero contest encourages Canadians to nominate local champions, from volunteers and healthcare workers to sports coaches and more, who exemplify selfless service.

Steve Sweetnam, Marketing Director at Kubota Canada, expressed enthusiasm for the contest, noting its role in recognizing deserving Canadians who tirelessly serve their communities.

This year's contest is set to donate a total of $35,000 to charities chosen by the winners. The grand prize includes a $25,000 donation, with two additional prizes of $5,000 each for runners-up. These substantial donations aim to support the charitable efforts led or favored by the nominees, amplifying their impact within their locales.

CHL President Dan Mackenzie reiterated the league’s pride in the Community Hero contest's legacy and its alignment with Kubota Canada to highlight the incredible work done by these community pillars.

Nominations were opened on October 8 and will end November 3, 2024, and the winners will be announced in mid-December.

Participants can nominate their community heroes by visiting www.kubota.ca/CommunityHero. This opportunity not only celebrates significant community contributions but also strengthens the bond between Kubota dealers, CHL teams, and the communities they serve across Canada.
