U.S. Officials and IDFA Gather for Dairy Event Monday
On Monday, July 14 at 2 p.m. ET, top U.S. leaders will gather in Washington, D.C. for a special event about dairy and public health. The event will be held on the steps of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). It will include a major announcement and free ice cream for attendees.
The event will be attended by key government officials and industry leaders. U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke L. Rollins, U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and Dr. Martin A. Makary, Commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), will all speak during the event.
They will be joined by Michael Dykes, President and CEO of the International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA), and Andy Jacobs, CEO of Turkey Hill, a well-known ice cream brand.
This media event is organized to both celebrate the dairy industry and share important news. It highlights the cooperation between public health, food safety, and agriculture. The presence of these major figures shows how important this announcement is for the U.S. food and health system.
The event will also celebrate National Ice Cream Month, which takes place in July. Free ice cream will be served as part of the celebration, giving people a chance to enjoy a summer treat while learning more about the dairy industry.
Media personnel are invited to arrive at 1:15 p.m. ET to set up for the announcement. The event will officially begin at 2:00 p.m. ET.
