CFA Leading Push For National Food Strategy

The Ontario Federation of Agriculture is one of the leading groups in search of a National Food Strategy. Federation Vice-President Mark Wales says intensive work on such a strategy began at the annual general meeting of the Canadian Federation of Agriculture in February.

A working group from the CFA is leading the National Food Strategy project with participants from other organisations and representatives from the value chain and various government agencies.

The small can be mighty in making a corn crop bigger and its roots stronger. Root worm has long been a nemesis of the corn farmer and a tiny nematode has been introduced to help stop the problem before it can, well, take root.
