Angela Baysinger Memorial Scholarship Supports Future Leaders in Animal Welfare

he American Association of Swine Veterinarians Foundation (AASVF) continues its commitment to advancing production animal welfare through the Angela Baysinger Memorial Scholarship — an annual award recognizing students dedicated to improving welfare across animal industries.

This scholarship honors the legacy of Dr. Angela Baysinger, a respected leader who championed collaboration, science-based welfare practices, and mentorship in veterinary medicine. The award supports experiential learning opportunities for the next generation of veterinarians and scientists focused on production animal welfare.

Each year, one student demonstrating a strong passion for welfare in production animals will receive $5,000 to advance their education and hands-on experience. Scholarship funds can be applied toward research project costs, conference travel, or other experiential learning opportunities that expand understanding and practical skills in welfare science.
