Bayer welcomes new leader for Crop Science Canada

The Crop Science division of Bayer has appointed Kacy Perry as the Country Division Head for Crop Science Canada, effective July 1. In this role, she will lead 550+ employees working at multiple sites across Canada and serves as a member of Bayer’s North American Leadership Team for Crop Science. 

Perry currently serves as the North America Soybean Business Lead for Bayer’s Crop Science division and has been with Bayer for the entirety of her career. She has held various field and leadership roles in marketing, product management, and sales, including leading the U.S. corn portfolio. Perry also led a critical initiative as the Brand Strategy Lead, guiding the evolution and execution of the Channel Seed Professional Strategy in the U.S. business. 

“I am excited to build on the momentum already underway and further strengthen our impact with Canadian farmers,” says Perry. “Canada is increasingly recognized – both within Bayer and across the agriculture industry – as an innovation leader in seed and trait, crop protection, and digital farming. I look forward to working with the team to advance sustainable products and farming solutions that help growers succeed and drive profitable outcomes.” 

She grew up on a farm in Windsor, Illinois and graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Agricultural Economics. She earned her Master’s degree in Agricultural Economics from Purdue University and her MBA from Indiana University. She and her family will relocate to Calgary, Alberta this summer.
