Agriculture in the Classroom Saskatchewan (AITC-SK) and SaskOilseeds are proud to announce a renewed three-year partnership that will continue supporting agricultural education and experiential learning opportunities for students and teachers across Saskatchewan.
Through a $225,000 investment over three years, SaskOilseeds will continue its long-standing support of AITC-SK, helping expand access to curriculum-connected agriculture education programs, classroom resources, teacher professional development, and experiential learning initiatives across the province. For over a decade, SaskOilseeds has played a vital role in helping students build connections to Saskatchewan agriculture, food production, sustainability, and career opportunities in the agriculture and food sector.
“Long-standing partnerships like this are essential to ensuring students and educators continue to have access to accurate, balanced, and engaging agriculture education,” said Sara Shymko, Executive Director of AITC-SK. “SaskOilseeds has been a tremendous champion of agricultural literacy in
Saskatchewan for many years. Their continued investment will help us meet growing demand from classrooms across the province while creating meaningful opportunities for students to better understand modern agriculture and the important role oilseeds play in our economy, food systems,
and communities.”
The renewed sponsorship will support AITC-SK’s efforts to expand inquiry-based programming and innovative learning experiences that connect students and teachers to food systems, sustainability, and modern agriculture.
